Tara Walker is a Cordon Bleu trained Chef with many years of experience working in the restaurantindustry. She now runs a business called The East Coast Cookery School. The East Coast Cookery School runs cookery lessons and cookery demonstrations from her home in Co. Louth near the areas of Drogheda, Laytown, Bettystown and Mornington. Cookery lessons are themed around areas such as Asian Cuisine, “Cooking on a Shoestring” and Boys, Beer & Burgers. All cookery lessons are relaxed and informal yet focused on helping you improve your skills and knowledge in the kitchen. If you are looking for a fun night out, why not come to a cookery demonstration and sit back and relax with a glass of wine while you watch Tara cook for you. For the more motivated cook, day-long, hands on cookery lessons give you a chance to perfect your technique as well as learning about all the fantastic produce the area has to offer.
Tara also gives cookery demonstrations off site to community groups, ICA groups and to groups of friends. This offers people a chance to stay where they are and enjoy some tasty treats and learn something new in the comfort of their own surroundings.
This part of the country is beautifully located along a large stretch of coastline with beautiful beaches, scenic walks and award winning golf courses. The town of Drogheda is full of history,surrounded by the site of the Battle of the Boyne, Newgrange and Monasterboice Old Abbey.
